Mr Peter Yan is a leading member of the information technology sector with over three decades of experience. He is now the Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited and leads the digital technology flagship to carry out its public missions to foster industry development, enterprise transformation and talent cultivation to realise Cyberport’s vision to create new impetus for Hong Kong’s new economy through digital technology.
I) Declaration — Nominee or Applicant declares that :
All information and particulars provided in the Application are accurate, true and complete. The Application will be disqualified and withdrawn if it is found otherwise;
There are no pending or contemplated disputes in any jurisdiction over intellectual property rights relating to the Application and the Project;
Nominee owns the intellectual property rights, including copyright rights in and to all materials submitted and/or are authorized to use these rights in relation the Application and the Project;
The Application does not infringe any third party’s intellectual property rights or other proprietary rights, including copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret and design;
Nominee did not include any content which potentially violates or breaches any confidential agreement with 3rd party without the prior consent with content owner. We accept no responsibility for such transmission and violation of confidential information;
Nominee warrants that they have the legal right to authorize the Organizer to use all disclosed information and materials;
Nominee agrees to be bound by any subsequent reasonable instructions or decisions of the Vetting, Audit & Awards Committee (“Committees”).
II) Personal Information Collection
Nominee agrees that non-confidential information and material, such as names, photographs, images, videos or written material as disclosed to the Organizer may be reproduced, published and used by the Organizer in relation to this competition, including for promotional purposes (including in print and on TADS Awards website);
Your supply of the personal data to the Organizer is on a voluntary basis. However, the Organizer may not be able to process your company’s application to this awards program unless you provide us with the Personal Data required in the application form;
The Organizer will keep the relevant personal data in strict confidence, but the Organizer may transfer such personal data to third parties if necessary for the above purposes, e.g. when the Organizer feels there is a need to reveal such information to facilitate the program’s on-site inspection, review, Awards selection, awards ceremony and publicity events;
TADS Awards (the “Organizer”) will use the information and personal data provided by the Nominee (the “Personal Data”) in the Application for the purposes of processing the Nominee’s Application and directly related purposes, including but not limited to Awards selection and presentation, and publicity events;
The Organizer may not be able to process the Application without the Personal Data, which is supplied to the Organizer on a voluntary basis;
The Organizer will use all endeavours to keep the Personal Data in strict confidence, but may transfer the Personal Data to third parties if necessary for the above purposes, including but not limited to when the Organizer needs to reveal such information to allow Vetting, Audit and Award Committee to review the Application on its merits to facilitate the review of the Application for Awards selection, Awards ceremony and/or related publicity events;
The Nominee has the right to request access and the correction of, its personal data in accordance with the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486). All such requests for access and correction must be made in writing as soon as practicable and sent to [email protected].
III) Terms and Conditions
The Nominee and/or Nominator should fill in all the required information to complete the Application, and should cover all the judging criteria.
Each nominator or nominee can only submit one nomination per award, but may submit more than one nomination across different awards.
All documents and materials supplied in relation to the Application are not returnable and will be destroyed by the Organizer after the event.
All information related to the Nominee and the Project remain confidential to parties outside of Committees.
Projects nominated by any of the committee members and partners listed on the TADS Awards site will received 5% bonus points.
Nominee agrees that upon confirmation of winning the awards, non-confidential information and material, such as company names, logos as disclosed to the Organizer may be reproduced, published and used by the Organizer in relation to this competition, including for promotional purposes.
Committees have been selected based on their professional experience. The Committees member is subject to change without notice;
The Committees’ decision is final and not subject to external review;
The Organizer reserves the right to accept or reject the Application and have the authority to amend any judging criteria.
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel any part of TADS Awards due to any unforeseeable circumstance.
The Organizer has the right to disqualify any applicants violating rules and regulations of the process at various stages;
In case of any dispute, the decision of the Organizer will be final and binding on all parties concerned.
The Nominee agrees to hold the Organizer harmless of any claims whatever, including but not limited to claims related to intellectual property rights by any reason related to the Application or any part thereof.
The Organizer shall not be liable in any way for any loss or damage incurred by the Nominee for any cancellation of any part of TADS Awards.
If there are any inconsistencies or ambiguities between the English version and other language version, the English version shall prevail.
All rights are reserved. The Organizer reserves the right to amend the process detailed in these terms and conditions without notice.
